Last night at a party in Mountainview
we watched the Project Runway season debut
the party included with magazine picture tearings
what Heidi Klum should be wearing
my designed Heidi Klum wore an interesting green top
to accentuate everything that she got
which is everything, she even has the singer Seal
I guess she's going to survive unless she gets a little crazy...orange peal!
Woooh, that was a close one.  She looked a little thin in last night's episode.
Heidi looked emaciated and small
'cause she's not pregnant as usual

why people "check in" on facebook
I know it's easy to do with your smartphone
but why let people know when you're not home?
after about a hundred people have their houses broken in
people will think twice about checking in
though police will be able to trace it back to your facebook friends
you know some hacker will figure out how to disguise that end
Besides, why not talk about where you've been after you've been there?  Excluding MIKE ON MOBILE of course...
So how much info do you want the Internet to really see behind?
Someday you'll remember you actually had a private life!

So the other day instead of watching TV
we just sat around did, what's it called? Oh yeah, read
Actually my wife and our room mate read
I went through and deleted emails instead
I had over 400 sitting in my inbox
so I went through and tried to figure out what I don't want
Bed Bath and Beyond, is that necessary if I'm a guy?
Probably not, and anyway their prices are way too high
We registered there when we got married.  I still love the coffee maker we got.  I digress
So instead of being bombarded by cathode rays
reading some good literature is a better way to end your days

So I was trying to get gas on the run
for a relatively low cost at 2.71
It was in Castro Valley at the Quick Stop
someone should have told me it would be a big flop
now this is a clean podcast so I don't use
naughty words or do humor that's blue
so I will call the people there "picks" I know that sounds dumb
they all acted like "picks" wouldn't let me get to a pump
seriously, I was there before 2 other cars and they swooped in like total picks
I went somewhere else and got gas for four cents more
and I ain't gonna go to Quick Stop anymore!

So I was getting ready to get a podcast out
Then my wife said, We're leaving now!
She said we had a half hour of time
and I still had to walk the dogs so they'd be fine
because as I said last week we laid sod and it was tough
and I didn't want the dogs going and digging it up
so I tried to get them tired with a walk real fast
yet after being gone for a couple hours they still destroyed the grass
you were right Bob!  Take the victory lap, you were right!
So that's why no show yesterday online
and why I'm a little perturbed at our canines

Doesn't it leave an awful taste?

Then realize three months later you let it go to pot
You may also be wondering why your fridge stinks?  It's because you let food go to waste!

So the other day I was drinking blue tea
When I opened my mail and found out I have jury duty
Well, maybe I won't get called, we'll see
I have to do that automated call in thing
I would really like to put in my civic time you see
But I have a wedding to DJ the next week and that would be
a real bummer to cancel my plans to help out my cousin-in-law
but if I don't do my civic duty I'd be breaking the law
This wedding's going to be in a barn in Washington state...how awesome
I started off the summer at a wedding in Washington DC
I hope a Washington state wedding will end the summer for me

So sorry I missed yesterday
It was a really busy day
I promised on our anniversary to my wife
we would get grass to make our backyard look nice
But the area in question was rock dirt
We had to rent a rotor tiller and I dug till I destroyed my shirt
It was an all day affair, the rental cost 76 bucks
I busted my butt and operated on no Starbucks
I was working on fruit salad from the aforementioned birthday parties from this past weekend
Then today we laid down the sod
It looks good but it can't be touched by our dogs

it's a really funny movie watch it when you can

I watched a Lewis Black concert last night, it was gold
He shouts a lot less since he's gotten over 60 years old
He talked about his parents who are in their nineties
and the crazy things they say that makes your jaw drop to your knees
He mentioned they've been married 64 years
The people applauded and there were cheers
Then Lewis said "to those of you who didn't clap
How bitter are you you miserable sap!"
Well, I had to embellish a bit to get the rhyme out of that...so go along with me...
I met him once very briefly and he was nice
I'm glad to see he still has some demons left to slice

I worked at a station called KNJO
it was located in Thousand Oaks
amidst the breast implants and SUV jokes
we were located across from an auto mall
sleazy car dealers every where, short and tall
and our station played mellow brain dead music
among all the radio selections you probably wouldn't choose it
seriously, Michael Bolton every hour.  Is that enough to be committed?
Oh and everything played off thin reel to reel tape

It's Wednesday morning and I'm in awe
I am still thinking about the movie I saw
It was the first of the "GIRL WHO" Swedish movies
lots of subtitles and the Swedish language is groovy
I would say this movie is pretty darn graphic and besides
I haven't read the books so I know I'm behind
They're going to make Americanized versions that will NOT be good
It's very hard to keep that Swedish cold dark dangerous feeling in Hollywood
But seriously, the Swedish language is a trip!  They sure have great furniture!
So thanks to that movie I was up late
And I'm having a Swedish meatball on my plate

So we've got a nice backyard

Well I DJ'd a birthday party
I showed up on time and wasn't tardy
I played classic rock and funk
Then packed all my records in my trunk
Actually all the music fit on a thumb drive
I feel bad for the guys that DJ'd back in 1975
Lugging records and huge speakers everywhere
Now they sit around with bad backs and very little hair
which I can identify with on the scalp part...but my back was spared yesterday!
So I hope Bob's b day was great for him
Now let's all go take a swim!

My neighbors are having a garage sale
I look out the window and I see every kind of male
They want tools or cheap nice speakers
Women want dresses and children's sneakers
Then later on today I'm going to DJ
our really cool friend Bob's 50th birthday
I have a lap top and my podcast mixer and a stereo
that'll the power the speakers like I did when I was in radio
actually, back then, we had even CHEAPER equipment...and I got paid for it!
so as I'm playing usher and black eyed peas
make sure your Saturday is the bee's knees

We have a visit today from Valentino, Bison Bentley, and Madame Rootabega.  Plus today is the first installment of EMAIL FOR ME MAIL!

It looks like the end of the space race
No more shuttles to send into space
Now the shuttles all go to museums
So little kids can go inside and pee in them
Now the private companies are the ones to go up there
You've got advertising space from the rockets to underwear
I remember when I saw the shuttle take off it was big
I was in Florida with my mom I was sweating like a pig
Now we have to concentrate on going to Mars...why? Because it's there...and nothing else is
So the satellites won't be interrupted up high
until Richard Branson goes for a joy ride

No that's not true you know
Most people have do and the cards are for the show
I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out
the precise wording for the card to stand out
so it doesn't get thrown in five minutes in the trash
to sit amongst so many things that once cost cash
in other words, I have never once got any contact from any of my business cards
so before you waste good dough my chap
make sure your business card cuts through the crap

I went to the mountains with some friends
Over the Independence Day weekend
We walked around a big lake that was fat
It was called Pinecrest or Pinebutt or something like that
And we were in the middle of nowhere
Yet about 80 million people had decided to go there
It looked like a mountainized take on Malibu
But there was a lot more clothing and less whores than Havasu
Seriously, you drive that far you expect less folks, but this is California
so before you go anywhere in the Golden State I bet
you should make sure that Yelp hasn't reviewed it yet
