Yesterday I made jambalaya using chicken Andouille sausage along with chicken and shrimp.  So good.  Nice and spicy, too!  My wife and I then watched Ricky Bobby Talladega Nights.  I love it when the little kid says "Someone didn't love you enough when you were little, did they?"  That movie is all about the editing and the great comedic acting of Will Ferrel and John C. Reilly.  It makes me laugh every time!  What a fun "Southern" Saturday we had!

I did ANOTHER open mic last night in the Bay Area, East Bay in particular.  I performed TWO songs at the venue called the High Street Cafe on the island city of Alameda.  That was the first time I ever played there and I got quite a nice response as well.  I'm so lucky to live in an area that really welcomes and supports singer/songwriters.  I've lived here now three and a half years and it's fun to finally dabble in the crazy open mic world.  Let me know if you want an update of where I'll be playing at next!
